In the last year alone, at least five Black Americans have been found hanging from trees. Every single case was quickly ruled a suicide by officials. This is why capturing joy matters. When you take a photo or video of Black and white Americans simply socializing, you aren’t just saving a memory. You are actively resisting a narrative of division. You are documenting unity in a world that still carries the heavy trauma of racial violence. Visibility and community are powerful. Document the connection. Share the unity.
